Logo AQUA

As one of Indonesia's heritage brands, AQUA does its business for goodness and always strives to bring goodness to the community through innovating in promoting healthy hydration and environmental sustainability, serving the community through water reserve preservations, minimizing carbon emissions, and pioneering packaging recycling.

In 1993, we pioneered the first recycling program "AQUA PEDULI" ("AQUA CARES") to support local recycling. However, due to the increase in plastic packaging in every sector and the lack of infrastructure and education, unmanaged plastic packaging became a major threat to our environment. Bigger steps need to be taken - more efforts to collect and recycle, educate and innovate.

Thus, we launched our #BijakBerplastik commitment as our next step to build a bigger collaboration to manifest innovations for a healthier Indonesia.

COLLECTION

COLLECTION

To retrieve plastic back from the environment, Danone-AQUA supports the pioneering of technological programs and social businesses to clear up plastic waste. The health conditions and livelihood of scavengers became a major focus of attention. For the last several decades, Danone-AQUA has collaborated with several authorities to solve this issue between sectors in the waste management ecosystem. We are committed to retrieving more plastic waste than we produced by 2025.

EDUCATION

EDUCATION

To inspire more Indonesian people to manage their waste, comprehensive education is required. Therefore, we are aiming to reinforce school programs to reach 5 million children and lead an education campaign that targets 100 million consumers by 2025.

INNOVATION

INNOVATION

The key issue in production is single-use plastic. Therefore, we build an ecosystem to find partners that can arrange the recycling of our products to provide healthy hydration for Indonesia with zero-waste. Danone-AQUA is committed to taking big steps towards the circularity of the plastic that we use.

We plan to make all our packagings to be 100% recyclable and reusable by 2025, and also increase the proportion of recyclable plastic in our bottles from containing 25% recycled materials to 50% by 2025.
